Overview:
Content Strategists ensure that the right information is available to the right user at the right time, for engagements including marketing programs and digital experiences. Content strategists look at the client’s ecosystem holistically, defining content, as well as content organization and structure.
Content strategists think in broad terms conceptually. They understand the context in which users may experience the content. They think strategically about what content should be presented, and assess the best format for content so that it is effective from a user and business perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Review competitive sites to benchmark content and features, as well as provide best practices for inspiration
- Assess client content against user insights and marketing objectives
- Develop strategic content plans that meet user objectives and client needs; and fulfill on those plans with detailed guidelines, gap analyses and content development recommendations
- Understands the client business, prepare client deliverables and become a brand expert and trusted client adviser
- Interview stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Present content strategy work to clients and teams
- Assess content for re-use potential
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years in a digital role within an agency environment, and have experience in journalism, publishing, copywriting, marketing communications
- Demonstrated experience overseeing projects/campaigns independently
- Expert ability to develop and promote relationships remotely (both internally and with clients)
- Expert writing skills; You write decks with a good narrative
- Impactful presentation skills
