Hospital following a brief Born November 11, 1951 in Altoona, PA, she was a daughter of Elsie (Antesberger) Mitkowski and the late Charles Mitkowski.

She was a bookkeeper for Agri Basics, in Elizabethtown for the past 9 years. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1969, and enjoyed bowling and golfing. She was also a volunteer for Hospice. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Ra chel M. and Wealthly R. Harmon Miller. He was a retired carpenter, a World War II Navy Veteran, a member of the NRA, and Local 287 United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He enjoyed baseball, hunting and fishing. Surviving are one son, Kenneth A.

"Randy" was a past president of the Harrisburg Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Harris burg Art Association, the Harrisburg Garden Club and the New Cumberland Women's Club. She attended Grace Meth odist Church in Harrisburg.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time on the Susquehanna River with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy M. D'Orazio, married to Dominick J. D'Orazio, M.D.; a grandson, Duane R.

D'Orazio, married to Natasha D'Orazio, all of whom reside in Lancaster and a brother, Clyde Randall of Richmond, VA. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Musselman Fu neral Home and Cremation Services, Lemoyne. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.

He was the co-owner of amount Sports Complex, Annville; an avid hunter and golfer; and also enjoyed coaching base ball and spending time with his niece. Surviving are his parents, Thomas H. Miller and wife, Colleen of Palmyra and Barbara A. Randolph and husband, Howard of Harrisburg; his fiancee, Maya J.

Wenger. She was the widow of LeRoy M. Herr. She was a graduate of Messiah College and Lebanon Valley Col lege and received a Masters De gree from Temple University. She retired as a school psychologist for CAIU, Mechanics burg and Carlisle School Dis tricts.

She was an active member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Carlisle, where she served as an elder and a deacon and was a member of the choir and the bell choir. She also volunteered at the Carlisle Hospital, Habitat for Humanity and the Cumberland County Courthouse. Survivors include two sons, Lynn Herr of Mt. Holly and Lyle Herr of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Lorie Andrechik of Middle sex; a sister, Mildred Reese of Annville; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Carlisle on Friday, June 5th at 11 a.m.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Lydia Burnett Kennedy. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill, and was a former member of both the West Shore Country Club and the Civic Club of Harrisburg. She had al so been an officer of the ParentTeachers Association at Shimmel Elementary School, Edison Junior High School and John Harris High School. Claire was an excellent athlete, having won a junior women's tennis championship in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She actively participated for many years in the women's golf program at the West Shore Country Club and in area bowling leagues.

She continued bowl ing well into her nineties. She was the widow of Miles J. Gibbons. Surviving are 3 children, Ann C. Reimel of Mt.

Gretna, Miles J. Gibbons, Jr. of Mechanics burg and Hugh J. Gibbons of Lubbock, TX; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m.

Saturday, June 5, 2004 in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Ceme tery, Mechanicsburg. A visita tion will be held in the church foyer from p.m. Saturday. Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill, is handling arrangements.

Shaffer, 79, of 307 Center Street, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. He was born on February 23, 1925 in Berrysburg, to the late Daniel S. and Beaulah (Deppen) Shaffer. Mark was the husband of Mary E. (Dietrich) Shaffer of Wiconisco.

Mark was retired with over 30 years of service in the United States Navy. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Berrysburg, he was also a member of the Toastmasters; Ashlar Lodge No. 570 American Legion Post 124 of Lykens; a 25 year member of the Lykens Minstrel and a member of the Wiconisco Fire Company. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mary Ellen Petrey of Wiconisco; a brother, Charles Shaffer of York; sisters, Anna Gessner of Millersburg, Sara Howe of Harrisburg, and Elizabeth Henery of Dauphin; granddaughters, Stacy Bergey of Wiconisco, Rochelle Petrey of Wiconisco and Megan Strohecker of Pillow; 5 greatgrandsons and 1 greatgranddaughter.

Miller John H. Miller, 86, of Gettysburg, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2004 in the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village. Born November 24, 1917 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Samuel T. and Estella M. Doyle Miller.

He was the husband of the late Virginia M. Walker Miller, who passed away in 1999. He was retired from General Tire Rubber Co. where he served as the Regional District Manager. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S.

Army 28th Division; a lifetime member of the Shellsville VFW Post 9639; a member of the Harrisburg American Legion Post 27; and the Market Square Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a son, Gary L. Miller of York; a daughter, Nona L. Shoemaker; two brothers, Homer Miller and Tucker Miller; a grandson, Doug Shoe maker, all of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews. Books Theodore B. Books, 86, of 104 N. Center Street, Cleona, died May 30, 2004 at his residence. He was born July 21, 1917 in Cleona, to the late Theron M. and Katie Brandt Books.

He was Cleona's oldest living resident. He was the husband of Miriam Mengel Kramer Books and the late Miriam Stauffer Books, who died in 1983. He was the owner of Theodore B. Books Planing Mill, Cleona; a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II; a 1935 graduate of Lebanon High School; a member of Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, Cleona, where he was on the Trustee Board, Sunday School Superintendent; former chairman of the Christian Busi ness Men of Lebanon County; Kenbrook Bible Camp Board of Directors; and Cleona Fire Co.

He was an avid hunter and camper. Surviving, in addition to his wife are a step-daughter, Arlene, wife of William Hess of Littlestown; a daughter-in-law, Antonetta Books of Westland, Michigan; a sister, Orpha, wife of James Templin of Annville; 1 granddaughter and 6 stepgrandchildren; and 18 stepgreat grandchildren. He was pre ceded in death by two sons, The odore B. Books, Jr. and Jay K.

Books; a brother, Ethan Books; and a sister, Olive Hostetter. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, 529 W. Penn Avenue, Cleona. Interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
