ANOTHER SHOCKER - What if I told you false accusations (FA), The Silver Bullet Tactic, is FAR more pervasive than how it is used in family court & child custody? (Final breakout below) Maybe there is a research that shows that perjury or false accusation and official misconduct (one in the same) were leading factors contributing to these wrongful convictions, with perjury or false accusation present in 76.3% of homicide cases And of that a disproportionate 63.8% of wrongfully convicted death-row exonerees are people of color, with 53.5% being Black; only 9% of the total percentage were women. 91% of all FA victims are men (this IS a male problem) 53.5% were black Conclusion, if you are a black/minority man you will be hit with an FA through family court and child custody. And if you are a man you stand a 91% probability of being victimized by an FA. Want my sources? Go pound sand you can read my book when it is published! #VF501

Can revenge amount to justice? Revenge is defined as “to exact punishment or expiation for a wrong on behalf of, especially in a resentful or vindictive spirit.” Since August 10, 2014, law enforcement has been physically scrutinized more than any profession. Even though the falsehoods surrounding the incident in Ferguson, Missouri have been confirmed by the then US Attorney General Holder, anti-police propaganda has fueled some unjust prosecutions around the country. This case is an example of one. There is no doubt the response in Ulvalde was an epic failure. Children died and that is unacceptable. Nothing will bring these children back. Civil lawsuits would be appropriate across the board and likely will cost the city millions to settle. In a civil matter the question is whether the city police were negligent. The response from the police was a failure and they are likely negligent, but should they be criminal? Now, two years later, the Chief of Police is charged with multiple counts of child endangerment. Under Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 22.041 : “ A person commits an offense if he intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence, by act or omission, engages in conduct that places a child younger than 15 years in imminent danger of death, bodily injury, or physical or mental impairment.” This is going to be difficult for the prosecutor to prove given the facts of this case. This indictment is a stretch and will be litigated. But like many high profile cases, can the chief get a fair trial? If a police officer is killed they are a hero, if they second guess a dynamic situation they are labeled a criminal and charged. Revenge justice is turning into vengeance and it must be stopped. If not, our recruitment and retention issue will cripple our country. A man who has given so much to the community is now in an orange jumpsuit for the community to feel better as they extract revenge to obtain “justice.” https://lnkd.in/gEgABjBH

Interesting article…I do believe much of the stats lack context (crime rates, covid-19, etc). For example, the article mentions that CCRBs went up but did not highlight that the rate of exonerations and unfounded cases increased as the rates of substantiated cases decreased. While there is a lot of noise in this article, especially surrounding the Mayor, the part that I think is the most interesting was the somewhat glossed over discussion on community sentiment. To me…that’s the most important part of the article. NYC residents do not have a monolithic perspective on how to adequately address public safety concerns. I do believe that NYC residents ultimately want the police to address the crime that threatens their safety. They just don’t want to be violated or disrespected unnecessarily in the process. The true question is…can we be aggressive and proactive in policing without violating and alienating communities? I think it’s possible…especially as we continue to refine precision policing strategy. What do you think?

The Police Department only consists of 10 officers ... and the DOJ is opening a patterns and practice investigation on the department. Good on the DOJ! 👏👏👏 ... In a press release: 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.Stating in summation: Based on an extensive review of information that is publicly available and that we received from stakeholders, we conclude there is significant justification to open this investigation now. For example, there are allegations that Lexington police officers have:📌 Stopped, searched and arrested people without justification,📌 Used force against people who did not pose a threat to the officers,📌 Used illegal roadblocks targeted at Black drivers; and📌 Retaliated against people exercising their right to question police action or record police activity. furthermore 📌LPD also appears to have violated the First Amendment by routinely arresting people merely for using profanity.10 cops in total on the department - and they can't (allegedly) fly straight! That's a damned shame. 🤦♂️https://lnkd.in/gzzqNq6vTune in for a two-part series with a high-ranking police administrator who speaks candid and confidentially with us in the episodes entitled: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 & 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 "𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫" 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. From Stateline: Fueled by public outrage over the 2020 murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer and other high-profile incidents of police violence, a seismic shift swept across the United States shortly afterward, with a wave of initiatives aimed at reining in police powers and reimagining criminal-legal systems.Yet less than half a decade later, political leaders from coast to coast are embracing a return to “tough-on-crime” policies, often undoing the changes of recent years. The number of homicidesin major American cities is falling at its quickest pace in decades following huge jumps during the pandemic,Axios' Russell Contreras writes. Why it matters:The nation is on track to see one of the lowest levels of violent crimes and homicides since President Obama was in office.Polls show crimeis a top concern ahead of the 2024 election — and it's an issue where Republicans regularly edge Democrats. But falling homiciderates could take steam out of the crucial GOP advantage.🧮By the numbers:Murders declined by nearly 20% in 204 cities during the first three months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, according toAH Datalytics, a criminal justice consulting firm.At this pace, the murder rate in the U.S. could match its level in 2014 when many cities saw 30-year lows in violent crime and homicides.🔎Between the lines:There's no single explanation. Police "are more engaged and departments are working to hire more officers. Community-based crime prevention programs have resumed. And nationwide social unrest has cooled,"The Wall Street Journalreports.Zoom in:Boston has seen a massive(82%!)drop in homicides so far, the most of any major city.Philadelphia hada 37% decline in murders. Miami is seeing a 33% fall.Houston, where crime was an issue in last year's mayoral election, is facing a 25% drop in homicides.Reality check:Los Angeles(+9%)and Atlanta(+15%)saw noticeable jumps in homicides in the first three months of 2024compared to last year.🗳 The backdrop:Former President Trump is using the fear of crime on the campaign trail and has relentlessly focused on "migrant crime" asillegal border crossingshit record highs. The intrigue:Democrats are seeing signs that they're closing the gap with the GOP among voters who say which party is better at fighting crime. An Axios-Ipsos Latino Pollconducted in partnership with Noticias Telemundo and released this monthfoundthat Republicans had only a 4-point edge on dealing with crime.Previous pollshad them leading Democrats by double digits.
