NOW, WE DID REACH OUT TO THE FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO ASK IF THAT SHOOTING HAPPENED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE BAR, BUT THEY HAVEN’T SHARED ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE CASE. OUR CREWS SAW DEPUTIES LOOKING INSIDE OF A TRUCK ON THE PROPERTY OF SHERIF’S. THIS MORNING. ALI CONFIRMS THEY ARE LOOKING INTO WHETHER THE BAR FOLLOWED A-B-C LAWS AND REGULATIONS DURING AND FOLLOWING THE REPORTED SHOOTING. THE BAR POSTED ON ITS FACEBOOK PAGE THAT IT WOULD BE CLOSED TODAY AND TOMORROW DUE TO QUOTE, UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. AND WE SAW CUSTOMERS STOPPING BY THE BAR TONIGHT, BUT THEY WERE TURNED AWAY. HOLIDAY THOMPSON OWNS A BUSINESS NEARBY, CHERI BEASLEY. HE SAYS HE DID NOT EXPECT TO HEAR OF A SHOOTING AT THAT LOCATION. IT SHOCKS ME THAT IT HAPPENED HERE IN CLEMMONS, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? MAYBE IF IT WAS LIKE DOWNTOWN OR SOMETHING, I WOULDN’T BE SO SHOCKED. BUT IT IS A LITTLE WILD THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN AROUND HERE. THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 38 YEAR OLD JOSHUA BROWN FROM LIBERTY IS CHARGED WITH FELONY HIT AND RUN. HE’S ACCUSED OF HITTING 17 YEAR OLD DANIELLA MENDIOLA TWO WEEKS AGO ON OAK GROVE CHURCH ROAD. INVESTIGATORS SAY BROWN TURNED HIMSELF IN. TONIGHT HE’S IN JAIL AND IS DUE IN COURT TOMORROW. HAPPENING NOW. POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR A MISSING TEENAGER. BURLINGTON POLICE SAY GWENDOLYN SMITH ROBINSON WAS REPORTED MISSING TODAY, BUT SHE WAS LAST SEEN ON MONDAY ON CHANDLER AVENUE. SHE IS 17 YEARS OLD. SHE IS ALSO PREGNANT. IF YOU SEE HER, CALL POLICE. IN 12 INVESTIGATES A FORMER POLICE CHIEF IS NOW IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW FOR MONTHS. 12 INVESTIGATES HAS BEEN LOOKING INTO ALLEGATIONS OF FRAUD INVOLVING THE PILOT MOUNTAIN POLICE DEPARTMENT. FORMER CHIEF ROBERT JACKSON TURNED HIMSELF IN TO AUTHORITIES LATE LAST MONTH AND LATER BONDED OUT. AN INDICTMENT INDICATES THAT HE FACES EIGHT OFFENSES. OUR JOSHUA DAVIS SPOKE WITH A WOMAN WHO SAYS HER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WAS A VICTIM. THE DOCUMENTS FROM THE SURRY COUNTY COURTHOUSE JACKSON IS ACCUSED OF REPEATEDLY DEFRAUDING PILOT MOUNTAIN UNITE. BEGINNING IN JULY OF 2021 THROUGH MAY OF 2023. KIMBERLY QUINN IS THE PRESIDENT OF PILOT MOUNTAIN UNITE AND WORKED WITH SOME OF THOSE OFFICERS FOR YEARS. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE CHIEF, WOULD COORDINATE WITH US. HOW MANY OFFICERS WERE REQUIRED? WHICH OFFICERS IT WOULD BE, AND THEY WOULD GIVE US A LIST OF OFFICERS, THEIR NAMES AND THE PAY RATE. THE INDICTMENT REVEALS THAT MANY OF THOSE OFFICERS DIDN’T WORK THOSE EVENTS, BUT WERE PAID AS IF THEY DID. KIMBERLY SAYS THE SBI REACHED OUT TO HER SHORTLY AFTER HER ORGANIZATION BEEFED UP THEIR TAX AND ACCOUNTING POLICY. WHEN HIRING OFFICERS IN THE FALL OF LAST YEAR OR LATE SUMMER. PROBABLY THE SBI CONTACTED ME AND SAID THAT THEY HAD HAD AN ANONYMOUS TIP THAT THERE HAD BEEN SOME, MAYBE DOUBLE DIPPING FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND FRAUD IN TERMS OF THE PAYMENTS WE WERE MAKING TO THEM. The Greensboro Transit Agency is offering fare-free bus service from 3 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday. To plan your trip, click here.The city of Greensboro says Festivalgoers will be able to use the Hopper Trolley to travel around the festival, through downtown and north to State Street and the Revolution Mill area. The trolley will detour slightly from its regular route to accommodate the festival with service beginning 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.The following vehicle and bike parking locations are available for public use during the festival.
